About this deal

As you would expect from a member of the Klipsch Reference series, the sound is much bigger and fuller than you’d expect from such tiny speakers. Folks, I suffer with bad sound so you don't have to. Please avoid the Klipsch R-41M unless you just want a speaker as an ornament. Don’t forget that the Klipsch R-41M are wired speakers. There is no model with Bluetooth connectivity or anything similar. They are also passive speakers. This means that you will need an amplifier or receiver to connect to the speakers before they can play music. Throughout the test I never felt short changed by the Klipsch R-41PM speakers. You have to keep in mind how much you’re asking these speakers to do for the money and, as such, they offer a lot for the price. Coupled with the wide array of connectivity options (more than some expensive models I could mention), the comparatively neutral sound output and the admirable clarity over the entire soundstage, the R-41PM speakers offer tremendous value for money. If you’re looking for a pair of powered speakers, keep the Klipsch R-41PMs at the top of your demo list. The R41M is a 200W speaker and weighs around 7 pounds. The dimensions of this speaker are 11.3-inch x 5.75-inch x 7.9-inch. It means this speaker is pretty much normal in size.

Similarly to the rest of the Reference family (the older R-14M, R-15M, and the R-51M), the R-41M loses a bit on the lower frequency side, but truly we can’t expect more from the size and budget of these speakers. My impressions of the Klipsch R-41M bookshelf speakers are overwhelmingly positive. They boast impressive specifications and a compact design that makes them perfect for small to medium-sized rooms, home theaters, and surround sound systems. The LTS aluminum tweeter that measures to be 1-inch in size pairs well with Tractrix Horn to ensure that you don’t have to handle much distortions or nuisances. To me, the winner here is clearly the R-41M. Compared to the Edifier’s R1280DB, bass frequencies coming out of Klipsch’s speakers sound much more realistic, and the overall soundscape is more balanced. We’ve seen some strong products in this field over the years and there has been a commensurate rise in true active models as well but Klipsch ought to have a small advantage in this field. For starters, they’re not exactly inexperienced in the business of making speakers with over sixty years of product behind them (and some of their models have been in production pretty much the entire time). They also have enough experience with the electronics side of the equation to suggest that they should be OK there too. As the name might suggest, the difference between the R-41M and R-51M lies in size and power. Although we haven’t had the chance to test the R-51M, those who fancy the R-41M but are looking for something more powerful and not limited by space might want to consider the R-51M instead. Design

You should also note that the speakers are designed for listening in line with the drivers. Pros and Cons Pros

Specification and Design

But due to their huge size, these speakers are heavier. You will have to arrange a proper amount of space to accommodate these into your bookshelf. If you don’t have room for these in a bookshelf or on a desk, using a good quality speaker stand will be perfect, and help create a better listening experience with optimal placement. The R-41M has a straightforward yet elegant design in terms of its looks. Its wood grain vinyl, cooper woofers, and exposed fasteners all contribute to its modern but timeless appeal. The speakers are also relatively quite small in size. Keep the speaker near the rear wall for extra bass. Horns are quite directive so that minimizes rear wall interference in the highs too.

This implies that even with high power, your speakers aren’t going to suffer from damage or distortion. This is especially useful when it comes to preventing damage to speakers from electrical surges and outages. The speakers are of a perfect size for mounting on walls or bookshelves, and other surfaces. Standing just under a foot tall, their dimensions are as follows, 11.3 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide, and 7.9 inches deep. Bluetooth pairing is a little clunky. The speakers do not automatically re-pair with your phone or tablet when they are switched to Bluetooth. So every time you want to use Bluetooth, you have to manually connect. It doesn't take long, but it's annoying. Performance The tweeter drive also uses the Linear Travel Suspension system designed by Klipsch. This system also works in conjunction with the Tractrix square to minimize audio distortion.

When seeking high-quality bookshelf speakers that won’t break the bank, the Klipsch R-41 offers M’s an excellent blend of sound quality, design, and features at a very reasonable price range. Conclusion The overall build quality of these speakers is not going to falter, after all, it is Klipsch. The brand’s signature copper spun woofer is equipped with a 1-inch LTS aluminum tweeter. Next, I moved the speaker to the desktop, changed it to the desktop listening mode, and then connected the MacBook Pro directly to the R-41P via USB, without any settings or driver installation. In the state of near-field listening, the details are richer and more vivid, and the sound field is opened, and the sense of positioning is more precise than before. It’s also fun. The Klipsch powers through the joyous People Give In by the Manic Street Preachers with a feeling of boundless energy and rhythmic assurance. It isn’t the last word in fine detail and tonal richness- although playing the same material via the Yamaha WX-AD10 into the analogue input suggest that at least some of this can be laid at the door of the digital decoding rather than any limitation of the speaker section of the Klipsch. This is a speaker that wants to engage you and get the head nodding over and above the need to tell you what colour underpants the lead vocalist happened to wearing that day.Reinforced MDF construction reduces cabinet vibration for less audible colouration and improved sonic accuracy. Key Features: I highly recommend the Klipsch R-41M bookshelf speakers to anyone looking for affordable, high-quality speakers that deliver smooth and detailed sound. These speakers will impress you whether you’re listening to music, watching movies, or playing video games.
